The solution Validation Assessment provides a vehicle to analyze, document and communicate the challenges and opportunities to our clients for validating CAD data transformation and managing the engineering change process.
Solution Validation Assessment Approach
Technical Project Managers observe existing processes to establish an organization’s challenges and opportunities. The analysis identifies key technical, process, organizational, or corporate initiatives utilized during the engineering and manufacturing process. Once identified these processes are defined in the “As-IS” process document to ensure a full understanding of the overall process flow. Once identified each task is evaluated to define opportunities for cost reduction and quality improvements utilizing the Validation Tool technology.
Coordinating with an organization’s technical team, the Project Managers identify priorities and establish a detailed solution specification of the “TO-BE” process. Clear expectations are set regarding expected benefits, scope and timing to mitigate risks and ensure a successful deployment strategy. The Project Managers, working offsite, perform a gap analysis between the “AS-IS” and “TO-BE” processes. This information is used to define the strategic solution documentation. This report, along with any ancillary documents, are then delivered to the client during the SVA Results meeting to ensure all parties are in agreement in regards to the project rollout strategy.
Business Value
Documenting the “AS-IS” process provides our clients with a unique view into their current environment. All departments affected by the current processes are examined and documented providing a complete understanding of the level of effort and costs associated with your current process. This information can then be used to target non-value added activities, reduce risks and streamline the overall process.
